Tourism and Hospitality and Professional Business Management Accelerated Co-op Program

This program combines the Adaptability and general business knowledge of the Professional Business management with the focus and excitement of the Tourism / Hospitality Management program.

Whether you are interested in working in the accommodation industry in positions such as a front desk agent, housekeeper or bell person or working behind the scenes with careers such as marketing, accounting, or business management, Tourism and Hospitality Management with the combination of our Professional Business Management program would be a great fit for you.

Projections for these graduates are an annual employment growth rate faster than the average for all occupations. A little more than half of these openings will result from growth in the number of new jobs. Projections for the wide range of occupations in this occupational group vary considerably from occupation to occupation.

Business Managers plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the activities of establishments and departments involved in commercial, industrial, wholesale and e-business sales, marketing, advertising and public relations. They are employed by commercial, industrial and wholesale establishments, marketing and public relations consulting companies and government departments.

Entrance Requirements: Grade 12/GED or mature student status. Applicants must successfully complete the admissions interview and entrance assessments.

Enhanced Diploma Requirements: 60% average upon successful completion of all courses, including courses given a complete. MELAB must be completed prior to co-op work term. Graduates of this program qualify for a Tourism / Hospitality Management diploma and a Professional Business Management Accelerated with Co-Op diploma.

Total Program Hours: 1940 Hours
Full-time Program Length: 98 Weeks (22.8 Months).
Co-op Work Term: 960 Hours (48 Weeks) – Work Placement Overview.
