Administrative DiplomaAdministrative Assistant Program

Join the exciting world of business as an Administrative Assistant. Competition for these employment openings is expected to remain high as many qualified people look for positions in this field. To stay competitive, administrative assistants must be able to adapt to changing methods and responsibilities.

AA’s perform a variety of administrative duties in support of managerial and professional employers. They are employed in offices throughout the public and private sectors.

Administrative Assistants, including those who work in medical and legal settings, have some common duties. They key correspondence, reports, invoices and related material from handwritten copy or machine dictation, using a computer. Increasingly, they use word-processing to format text drafted by others. They are also responsible for information management. They make sure information gets to the people who need it, and they store and organize information so that it can be found easily. They may handle invoices, payments and receivables.

This program gives the student the necessary skills to be competitive in this market.
